On the Ardnamurchan Peninsula

Rowanhill is in a perfect location to enjoy the many delights of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. The Ardnamurchan lighthouse sits at the most westerly point of the British mainland and ferries run from Kilchoan to Tobermory or Lochaline to Fishnish on the island of Mull. Wildlife Trips on Loch Sunart

To the West of Salen, 8 miles from Rowanhill, there are boat trips to Tobermory on Isle of Mull, Whale Watching Trips to Isle of Eigg and Wildlife Trips around Loch Sunart on the charter boat Laurenca. You can also hire small boats for sea fishing, or exploring Loch Sunart.

3 miles to the West of Glenborrodale, there is the Ardnamurchan Natural History & Visitor Centre.

Further West we have the village of Kilchoan where you can visit the ruins of Mingary Castle built in the 13th century.
Sanna Bay with its beautiful white sands envokes memories of past crofting townships.
